In JANUARY Domenica turned 3 and formally entered her pre-school years. She fills our home with laughter, silliness and song! Also Mike met his good buddy Scott in Vegas and had his fill of golf, shows and buffets.
In FEBRUARY Cristina was forced to withdraw from the Lost Dutchman half marathon due to a knee injury. She fills our home with love, good food and orderliness!
In MARCH we had the privilege of going to Ecuador for two weeks. There we got to see family and friends and we got our fill of tall mountains, volcanoes and a very warm Pacific Ocean.
In APRIL Cristina run her first race after a 4 month knee injury and also begun a short term assignment with Prudential Relocation, working from home as a Relocation Counselor. This filled our bank account with savings!
In MAY we celebrated our 10th year Anniversary and got away for a long weekend in California (without the kids). Four days filled with biking, kayaking and just-us dining .
In JUNE Gabriel graduated Kindergarten and formally entered big boyhood. We got to see his hard-working and competitive side while being part of a local swim team. He fills our home with energy, affection and Legos.
In JULY both kids continued to swim hard and attended summer school part time so that mama could work. This filled our home with quietness.
In AUGUST Gabriel turned 6 and started first grade. Mike and Cristina turned 35 and Domenica started preschool. This filled our home with celebration.
In SEPTEMBER Gabriel lost his first tooth. We received a visit from Grandma Sandy and Great grandma Carmen. This filled our house with guests and our pantry with sweets!
Also Cristina’s mother walked away unharmed from a serious rollover accident. This filled our house with Praise!
In OCTOBER we took our now yearly camping trip to CARLSBAD. We surfed the waves, played in the sand and Cristina run and read. This filled our lives with rest and memories.
In NOVEMBER Cristina run a half marathon and a 10-miler and hiked 7 mountains in one day. This filled our home with recovery shakes and sports massages. Also Abuelita came to visit from Ecuador with news of a completely dissolved colon tumor. This filled our home with thanksgiving.
In DECEMBER we put up our Christmas tree and decorations, created a ginger bread house and baked many treats. We also read every night the Christmas story and prepared our hearts to celebrate the newborn King. This filled our hearts with the spirit of the season and our house with many presents.
We don’t know what 2011 holds but we rest in the hands of a loving and sovereign God filled with grace, love and forgiveness.
Happy New Year to all!!!
