Gabriel's Thomas-themed birthday party could not be completed without an actual Thomas sighting! While we were in California, we were less than 15 minutes driving distance of Roaring Camp, where Thomas just so happen to be spending the weekend.
Seeing Thomas was a complete surprise to Gabriel. We had only told him that we were going to the train station to meet some friends. It was so great to see his face light up as Thomas pulled up to the station...The whole day was awesome, spent outside among the great Redwoods, and in company of good friends.
To add to the excitement, the friend that we were going to see was Jacob Peterson. We were so blessed to be in NorCal at the same time as them and got to spend the day together.
Even Sir Topham Hat made his appearance... I am so glad we went this year when the kids were still innocent enough to enjoy it.
Gabriel loves trains and everything that goes. While at Day out with Thomas, I was taking Gabriel and Jacob to get tattoos and their faces painted. The three of us were holding hands, I was leading them, Gabriel was in the middle and Jacob next to him. Gabriel said - mami, we are a train; you are the engine, I am the coal car and Jacob is the caboose... Happy 4th Birthday my little love!
