Happy Birthday Doménica!

A week a and half ago you turned two. This seems impossible since I can remember as if it was yesterday that long Monday night into Tuesday morning when you were born.

It has been such a joy to watch you grow from a toothless, nursing infant into a little girl. From day one you have made our family complete and you have brought us so much joy . We love your smile, your sweet voice, your chubby cheeks, sparkling blue eyes and of course your ruby hair.

Being your parents have filled us with so much affection for you and so much responsibility. We want to protect you, care for you, shield you and support you in all your dreams. Falible as we are, we promise do whatever is in our hands to accomplish this, but we want you to know that we put you under God's umbrella because we trust that in His mercy He has plans for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future ( Jer 29:11).

We pray for you daily sweet baby girl. That God will open the eyes of your heart, that you will want to see Him. Life is an uphill battle my sweetness. The world will oppose everything that we teach you. They will want you to be self-sufficient but He wants you to depend. They will want you to be a leader but He wants you to serve. They will want you to be the master but He will teach you to be a bondservant. They will want you to fight for your rights but He will want you to put the needs of others first. Oh, it won't be easy... but do not grow weary... though the road is wide and the gate is narrow, He has the upperhand.

"Itty bitty baby girl. Daddy's dream, mami's joy; smallest in the family but great is the joy that you bring to your daddy and me..."
