It turned out to be a really nice experience. We were able to enjoy cooler weather and spend lots of time outdoors. The guys went fishing every day, we hiked, rode horses and go-karts and got to watch a really nice fireworks show over Sunrise Lake on the 4th of July. At night we played cards and Settlers of Catan, um... I am the reigning Lady of Catan! I don't have pictures of the horseback ride or the fireworks because I left my camera behind but both were the highlight of the trip!
This trip, I got very lucky with wildlife. I saw lots of beautiful birds, flowers, butterflies, deer and even came across a Bald Eagle nest, right in the middle of feeding her young, it was amazing! Below a couple pictures but to see more, click on this link.

gorgeous place! Wow! and we are still planning on coming the weekend of Oct 2, if that's ok. So looking forward to spending time with your family!
Looks like it was a great trip. I am sure you wish it was longer because it is so hot! The kids look great - so big and cute!
