Three is a charm!

This was our third year going to Carlsbad during Fall Break. We camp at South Carlsbad State Beach, overlooking the   Pacific Ocean over the bluffs. This has become sort of a family tradition. This year, the weather was both the best and the worst we have gotten. We had three beautiful sunny and warm days but also got chased out by a storm. I love going to the beach because the kids are endlessly entertained by the sand and I get to rest but mostly read and run.
Every year we hit all of our favorite spots : Especial El Norte and its award winning chicken soup, the doughnout shop in Encinitas , Benihannas ' happy hour and a new one for this year: Pizza Port with a large variety of micro brews for my lovelybeer snob!
Pictures are on this Facebook link.

It's too bad I can't "like" Amy's post on blogs. I thought that was funny.
