A rare treat

Last week, Mike's brother surpised us with an impromptu visit. He lives in Yuma and was flying out to Colorado from Phoenix. He was going to be here for the morning.

Mike decided that his brother last minute visit was a good reason to take the morning off, so he called his boss to let him know.

In almost 9 years of marriage, I never recall Mike taking a morning off just like that... so this was a special treat as we got to spend some time together in the early morning, even before the children got up... He then made French Toast for breakfast, loaded the kids in the car and sent us on our way to BSF.

While we were at BSF, him and Geoff played a round of golf and had lunch together. To top this off, he came home at 5 pm, which is early for him. So for one day I got a taste of a 9-5 working husband. It was fun!

The best part of this post is when Cristina M. said she ate french toast for breakfast ;)
(And I hope it tasted fabulous and that, most of all, you enjoyed every minute of eating with your hubby)

Sarah- I am guilty as charged! I love French Toast and I eat it whenever Mike will make it, though I no longer order it when (if ever) we eat out for breakfast :o)

Mmmmm, wine. Way to turn the desert into a Napa Valley excursion.
