This afternoon Mike was overseeding our backyard and Gabriel was "helping". Us girls (myself, Doménica, mom and grandma) went to the store to pick up some last minute items for dinner. While we were gone, Gabriel said the following: "Papi, us boys get dirty because we work. The girls stay clean because they go shopping"! He is got that one figured out.... For the record, I decided to put a picture of the "one time" I did yard work :o)

Oh come on Cristina...are you serious that you don't do yard work? I mean, you are so driven I would think that yard work would just be another thing that you do on the side. Come with me and join the ranks of women who pull weeds! Next you will tell me that you don't know how to grill!
I'm going to side with Cristina on this one - I decided to try to mow the lawn for playgroup on Tuesday morning and I can honestly say it is SO much harder than I thought. It took me so long to start the stinky thing I almost considered asking the workers next door to just start the mower for me. I'm fine with that remaining a sexist male job. :)
Cristina, you are SUCH a hard worker...I remember when you were pregnant w/Gabriel and you were trimming your tree on a ladder!
Oh, no no... I'll grant you driven and hard worker but yard work is DEFINETELY not on my job description! I have NO recollection of ever getting up on a ladder to trim a tree and the one time I gave the weed wakcer a try, I cut the cord in two pieces! Since then much to Mike's demise I have been banned from yard work... the photo from this posting was taken this summer after we had our patio extended... Mike made sure to take a photo b/c it was such a novelty to see me out there with gloves shoveling rocks... aghh!
