Role Reversal

Any given day Doménica is usually trailing behind her big brother. Imitating him, pushing cars, playing with trains, balls, saying "vroom, vroom"... But on this particular day, for a change, roles with reversed! Here you can see the nurturing side of Gabriel: carrying a baby, feeding, diapering and even putting her to sleep. The sweetest moment was when I pretended the babies were crying and they started rocking them to sleep. I said to Gabriel - sing to the baby Gabriel, sing her to sleep... I was shocked when he started singing the same lullaby I used to sing to him as a baby, one that I have not sang to him in at least two and a half years..."los pollitos dicen pio, pio, pio cuando tienen hambre cuando tienen frio"...

I am so glad I have these memories... they truly help when I have to agree with Amy that "four is the new two", not referring to pant sizes! sigh...
