Northern Arizona

This past weekend we headed north. Usually, when we go north we go in search of cooler weather, and cooler weather we got. It was 45 degrees when we pulled into Flagstaff and Prescott was just as cool, AND with gusty winds. Grandma and Greatgrandma were unprepared for cold weather so we ended having to buy a couple jackets and pants for grandma Sandy. All in all we had lots of fun and the weather got better as the weekend went on and turned perfect by the time we got to Sedona on Monday.

On Saturday we went to Prescott and after walking thru the outdoors market (Greatgrandma loves jewelery and she did find a couple treasures) we had lunch, then continued onto Flagstaff where we "camped" at the Brown's home.

Our "campground"

Mike teaches Gabriel to fish for the first time.

He quickly got a hang of it but did not catch anything - yet .

View of the Grand Canyon from Bright Angel Trail. We hiked down for about one hour, then Gabriel got tired and cold.

In Sedona we walked around looking for treasures (more jewelry) then had lunch at Wild Flower Bread Co. and it would not be a trip to Sedona if Mike did not have his Caramel Apple de rigueur.

Thanks for coming Grandma Sandy and Greatgrandma. We miss you already... come back soon!

That looks like a lot of fun...the shopping for jewelry for sure! Glad you had time with family.
