A rare treat - part II

Most Sunday mornings, I go out running for a couple hours, either by myself or with Lindsay. When I come back, Mike is waiting for me (usually in the driveway) all ready to go mountain biking. Hiking is usually the only physical activity that we do as family, anymore.

However last Sunday morning, my friend Claudia invited Gabriel and Doménica for a playdate an she told us to take the morning for ourselves.
So... we packed our biking gear and hit the trails together, what a treat it was! After our ride, we went to the Farmer's Market and walked around sampling honey, breads, vinegars and other locally produced items. Then we had lunch together (a free one too, thanks to the Chipotle coupon that came in the paper)... it was so enjoyable. Thanks Claudia!

I even made it up this big rock -above- that Mike is about to ride over. It was my first, I usually walk it!

Your hubby is lucky to have you! Not many chicks would look at mountain biking with their husband as a "treat." ;)

Sweet jersey, chick. Mark and I usually do the relay routine too, so I know how special those times are. Nice job on the rock. Which trail is that one on?

Relay.. that is a good way to put it! It is Desert Classic that loop that Mike once took both of us. Remember? I think we run that trail once also, when we were training for the Women's Adventure Race... By the way, the Muddy Buddy Duathlon is on December 13 this year.
