Springbreak Staycation - Day 2

Today was an exciting day! The itinerary included an early mountain bike ride for Mike, followed by golf lessons at the Legacy and lunch.
After lunch and naps ( I am 2 for 2 on this Staycation) we headed to Kiwanis Trail for a family hike. There we did some Geocaching and we hit two jackpots! Mike and Gabriel had done it before but were unsuccesful in finding the caches.

Gabriel was super excited to find the 2 caches and trade trinkets. We even found a Dora Traveling Bug, which we will be placing in the next cache we find.

To top the afternoon off, there was a horse rider who let Gabriel climb on his horse Fame!

Bedtime already came for Neni, who took an early nap, and is close for Gabriel but not before huddling for a movie and popcorn. After the kids go to bed we are planning on making Java Lava floats and maybe playing cards or Scrabble...

Above, ready to hit the trail!

Below - searching for the first cache. We actually did not find it at first; we only found it when we looked again, on our way back to the car.

Below - Gabriel reaching for the "Kiwana" cache. This is the one that had the Dora Travelbug.

Below, digging through the treasures. He kept a yellow fire truck and a soldier.

Above, a top Fame. The kid is not afraid of horses!

Your staycation looks like a blast! And all the pictures of your kiddos are too cute. They are precious. Oh, and drink an extra Java Lava Float for us this week :)
