Springbreak Staycation - Day 4

Today has been a good day. In the morning we (the kids and I) went to BSF as we do almost every Thursday during the school year. However, because Mike is on vacation I was able to participate of our monthly fellowship and that in itself was a great. I have been going to BSF for 8 years and because of timing or childcare issues have never been able to go to a fellowship.

We had lunch together (it was just Liz, Beth and myself). I enjoyed hearing how God is working in their lives and also telling them what He has been doing in mine.
After lunch I went shopping by MYSELF. I was able to take my time, look through all the racks, try things on; I normally never get to. Since I always have the children with me,I just buy my size then try it on at home.
I scored some great deals on summer clothes for all of us, though hard as I tried the only colors I bought for myself were black and brown. Believe me, I tried! When I got home, Mike's comment was" I see you deviated from your regular colors" not! ... I bought three black tops and two brown ones... oh well!
Dinner will be at home tonight. It is Thursday and grandpa Tim is coming over as usual. After dinner Mike and I are going out, not sure where yet...
This vacation has been so simple. Some may even think average and would be disappointed over the uncomplicatedness of it. Other times, for vacation we have flown to Italy or the Caribbean, we have had lunch overlooking the seashore or done the most exotic things we could think of. But this time, we decided to find perfection in the simple and average things. This was the whole point.

Um, I like simple! Shopping alone is a vacation in itself!
