Class of 2022

RSCN2742 I can hardly believe the school year is over! I can still remember as if it was yesterday that Sunday evening, before school started, when I found Gabriel’s uniform neatly laid out over the train table . He was filled with excitement and anticipation and my heart was filled with mixed emotions of fear and gladness for my baby boy was growing up in front of my eyes. Now kindergarten is over and all of a sudden I have a first grader and a preschooler…

It was a good year. Gabriel was a good learner, he learned to read, do math, science, animals, social studies. He made new friends and learned to be more independent. We had lots of opportunities for heart shepherding and I learned to work on being patient as I helped with homework. And we both learned about the value of working with excellence, not focusing only in the results.

We are now in the midst of summer and we are having lots of fun swimming, reading and on occasion watching movies and playing video games. And now, the pictures of my graduate:

He looks SO big in that picture! I am now the mom dreading the approaching first day of school in just four weeks and can't believe that the season of "my son goes to school everyday" is already here. I'm glad they are growing up together :) even though I can want them to stay small sometimes.
